IronPen ("we", "our", "the app") is a strength training tracker for Android. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Data We Collect
When you create an account, we collect:
- Account information: email address, display name, nickname
- Workout data: exercises, sets, reps, weights, workout history
- Body measurements: weight, body fat, circumferences (if you choose to enter them)
- Social data: friend connections, shared workouts, group memberships
If you use the app in offline mode without an account, no personal data is collected or transmitted.
How We Use Your Data
Your data is used to:
- Provide and maintain the app's core functionality
- Sync your workout data across devices
- Enable social features (friends, sharing, groups)
- Calculate statistics and track your progress
We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.
Data Storage
Your data is stored using:
- Local storage: Room database on your device
- Cloud storage: Google Firebase (Firestore, Authentication) for account sync and social features
Firebase servers are located in the EU/US. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.
Third-Party Services
The app uses the following third-party services:
- Firebase Authentication: for account management and login
- Firebase Firestore: for cloud data storage and sync
- Google Play Billing: for processing premium subscriptions

Google Sign-In
If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account. We do not access any other Google data.
Data Retention
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the app's Settings. Upon account deletion, all your data will be permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data (available in the app)
- Export your data (backup feature in Settings)
- Delete your account and all associated data
- Use the app offline without providing any personal data
Children's Privacy
IronPen is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.
Changes
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
